Fork in Nigeria started with a simple idea: the food we grew up eating deserves a bigger table. So we put it on wheels.
Cooked the long way
Nigerian cooking doesn’t rush. The stew base for our jollof is fried down until it turns deep red and sweet. Egusi is stirred until the oil rises. Goat is seasoned the night before. We still cook that way, because that is what makes it taste like home.
Since 2020 the orange truck has been feeding Detroit. The response grew into kitchens on Livernois, Gratiot, Woodward and in Romulus, then across the state line to Columbus.
